The girls had their friends over and here is the rare picture that they are all together and even looking at the camera. I bet it took Qumi 50 shots to get this picture. 🙂
They had so much fun, they all passed out together.
Mom, you scared me!
A new french bakery opened up in the neighborhood and Kaitlin is really happy. The girls do love their bread, especially when Qumi makes it with strawberry’s.
Pants? We don’t need pants, in fact I’ll just wear them as a hat.
I know its not my pacifier, but I do like playing with them.
That’s mom in the back, taking a nap. I’ll just go wake her up 🙂
The girls do love their Disney TV.
Is that a necklace?
Look Mom, I can climb up on the couch without any help
The girls are growing fast now and getting smarter everyday. Its getting hard to keep up with them. When I came home today, Qumi had setup a tunnel for them to crawl through and they were having a blast. Kaitlin is starting to recognize shapes more and is getting close to putting the square peg in the square hole. Kristin is beginning to get more fearless in her efforts to walk around the apartment. Pretty soon she will be tearing it up around the place. We have to start working on child-proofing the rest of the apartment.
Grandpa Bill is all set to come for a visit that lasts 6 weeks. We are trying to figure out where to take him while he is here. We are already thinking to go to Japan for the last couple days of the trip since our good friends are getting married soon. Now we just need to decide whether to go to Thailand or Indonesia for our holiday. There is always Vietnam, but since he already visited when he was younger, not sure he wants to go back.
Until next time.
The little angels are getting ready for Christmas so I think they are trying to impress us with their outfits.
Owen stopped by to hang out with his girlfriends, not sure they were interested though – hopefully that lasts till they are 20 or so.
For those of you that live away from your home country, you will miss certain things. It could be good taco’s, Haggis, or even fresh sushi – for me its usually Thanksgiving. This year I hosted a small group of friends from Australia, Ireland, Philippines and Hong Kong (via Canada). I brined the turkey and made stuffing and gravy, the oven was a bit too hot and cooked the bird a little fast – still wasn’t that bad.
Below is Isabella, the beautiful offspring of our friends Jerry and Sheilve. She seems to love that ball 🙂 She is only a couple short weeks younger then our girls.
Here is Jerry holding one of my little angels – he tells me how hard it is to raise a child, I tell him to try raising 2 at once.
And here is Annalissa (sp?). She is James’ and Penny’s little one. About 2 years old now and ridiculously cute as a button.
Gordon – our Hongkie originally from NY and Canada. He is grandpa with his own partner and just adores our (and all) kids out there.
We showed up promptly at 3:00pm to pick the girls up. We had everything ready, some clothes, a hat, socks, and a blanket. I carried the 2 car seat capsules in, and got them ready. The girls did not like their car seats at first, but settled in nicely. Right before though, we put them together in the same cot for the first time. Kristin wasn’t happy and kept punching and kicking her sister. (Thank god we have 2 cots)
The 4:30 feed went all wrong, I went to finally read the formula jar and it says you need to boil water then wait 30 minutes. So the 4:30 feed turned into the 5:00 feed. Needless to say, Kristin wasn’t happy. Qumi fed Kaitlin and went to change her diaper, also an interesting event for her, after about 25 wipes, a new diaper, change of clothes and a new swaddle, she was done.
Neither of them wanted to sleep after eating, but Kaitlin finally fell asleep, her sister on the other hand refuses. All of the swaddle cloths we have are too big for them, and they just keep pulling them off. Going to try a swaddle pod tomorrow 🙂
I am off for the week and Qumi’s mom comes on Thursday to take over. Its going to be a long 18 years. So far the dogs have been good, not really interested, and most importantly, not barking when they cry. Well, its already time to boil the water for the next feeding, till later.
