We were playing hide and seek the other day. I went into their room and saw this. It wouldn’t have been too bad except that they were giggling the whole time.
Month: April 2015
really tired
Yesterday the girls had their first full day at school, which includes a little nap time. Katie was able to get a good hour and half nap at school, Kristie not so much. I heard she didn’t sleep at all. Here she is at dinner time around 7pm.
tired?
I guess the first week of school was harder on them than I thought. Here they are after their bath watching a bit of YouTube before dinner. I’ve never seen Katie sleep standing up before.
japanese kindergarten
Today was the first day of the girls’ new school, Singapore Japanese Kindergarten (シンガポール日本人幼稚園). There was a huge ceremony that included some introductions, puppet shows, songs and lots of waiting. The girls are in two separate classes, which is what we wanted to allow them to start developing individually. Katie is in the Red Tulip class (チューリップ 赤) and Kristie is in the Yellow Tulip class (チューリップ 黄色). The class rooms are right across the hall, so they will certainly bump into each other throughout the day. Their favourite part is that the classrooms are right in front of the train! From tomorrow, they start taking the bus everyday which is about 30 minutes each way. Hopefully that goes as smooth as this morning.
Here are some pictures from today, I love their school uniform. The dress is very cute.
A whole bunch of selfies with mama.

The official start of the school year!
babychino
if you go to Starbucks and ask for a babychino, they will put some milk foam into a small cup with a bit of chocolate sauce/powder on top – all for free. If you go to Assembly Coffee on Evans Road in Singapore, you need to pay for the babychino, but wow is it good. They are made with chocolate milk, foam, whipped cream, marshmallows, and chocolate sauce. The result is the pictures below:
